Life in the Fast Lane

People who think that I have a case of road rage need to come to Mexico.  After our crazy trip of swerving to avoid cars, people, dogs and whatever else wandered into the street, I have never valued things like seatbelts so much in my life.  Though there are signs posted about speed limits, I feel like they are hardly followed and rarely enforced.
The front seat of the van, though it did offer the most legroom was quickly relinquished to a back seat just to have something to hold on to as we made our way down narrow roads at high speeds.  It was just so strange to me to not be in a vehicle with functional seatbelts.
The part that was most interesting was the speed bumps.  They seemed to pop up in the strangest of places—we later found out that the mayor was also the mechanic so hints all the speed bumps.
One time, Kyle didn’t see one of the bumps and we got some serious air. It was certainly a memorable part of the trip.
